Case Study: Kee Line Installation for a Residential One-Off Build

Using the architect’s drawings, Safesite produced an initial Kee Line® layout for review and approval. As the design evolved, changes to the PV panel configuration and roof access routes required several revisions to the lifeline arrangement.

In total, five layout proposals were developed and submitted before a final design was approved. Each iteration ensured that safe movement across the roof was maintained while accommodating the evolving roof layout.

Technical information was also provided to confirm the suitability of toggle fixings for use within the green roof build-up. To ensure a secure installation, Safesite adapted the thread lengths of the fixings to suit the roof construction. This gave the design team confidence that the system would perform as required without compromising the integrity of the roof.

Throughout this phase, regular communication was maintained between Safesite and the architect to ensure all technical and aesthetic requirements were met.
