IOSH Working Safely Course

This comprehensive course is approved by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

IOSH Working Safely Course Overview

Working Safely is a one day course for staff from any sector with no supervisory or managerial responsibility. The course provides a grounding in the essentials of health and safety so that delegates gain an understanding of why they must "work safely"

Who will benefit?

Working Safely is for staff at any level of the organisation, in any sector.

Aim

The course focuses on why health and safety is important, and how delegates can make a real difference to the safety culture of the organisation.

Learning outcome

Working Safely is designed to give the delegate an understanding of what they need to know to help them handle health and safety in their day to day working environment. The course covers all the main health and safety issues, and also includes a session on the environment.

Working Safely consists of five modules:

  • Introducing working safely
  • Defining hazard and risk
  • Identifying common hazards
  • Improving safety performance
  • Protecting our environment
  • IOSH Working Safely Assessment and Certification

Delegates who successfully complete the written and practical assessments can choose to receive either an IOSH Working Safely certificate or an IOSH Passport.
