Safesite’s System 2000 guardrail is the only BBA approved system on the market.  Designed specifically to provide permanent edge protection where regular access for maintenance and inspections is required, System 2000's simple cantilevered design provides protection without the need to mechanically fix the guardrail system through the roofing membrane or building’s structure.

GUARDRAIL FAQs

Does the price per metre include corners?
Yes, the overall price includes all components to install a continuous ‘standard’ guardrail system on a flat roof, regardless of the overall layout.

Are there any other material costs?
Only for the end details.  If there is a vertical wall or existing steelwork that you can attach the guardrail system to you will need a fixed end.  However, if there is nothing to attach the system to you will require a freestanding end.  Please contact Darren or Laura for current prices.

What if I need to get the equipment up by lift?
When ordering ask for 2.2m long tubes as these will fit into most normal size lifts.

Can you provide an access point in the guardrails?
If the guardrail is installed adjacent to a roof edge we can supply a 1m wide sliding link tube access point.  Where the guardrails are more than 2m away from a fall risk then we can provide a chain access point if this is preferred.  

Do I need to provide any protection for the roof surface?
3mm fluted rubber is bonded onto all guardrail components which come in contact with the roof surface.  This normally provides adequate protection however we do recommend that when installed on a warm deck asphalt roof, lightweight promenade tiles are used to spread the overall loading and to help dissipate any heat transference.

What guarantee is provided with the guardrail?
All of the guardrail products supplied are covered against faulty materials or workmanship for 12 months under your standard consumer rights, as long as they have been installed and maintained in accordance with the documentation provided.

Do the System's legs only face inwards?
No the flexibility of System 2000 allows the legs to be turned 180° to face outwards if the roof's layout requires or if you want to reduce the visibility of the guardrail from ground level.

Can Safesite help with any design or technical queries?
Yes. If you email plans or photographs through we can normally advise on a suitable solution.  If you are unsure what to do when on site installing a guardrail system our Technical Department will be able to help with any queries over the phone.
