System 2000 Guardrail
Safesite’s System 2000 guardrail has been designed specifically to provide permanent edge protection where regular access for maintenance and inspections is required.
The guardrail system’s simple cantilevered design provides permanent edge protection without the need to mechanically fix the system through the roofing membrane or building’s structure. This simple design provides unrivalled strength, stability and safety and overcomes the problem of having to drill and puncture the roof membrane which can lead to potential water damage and noise disturbance during installation.
System 2000 guardrail consists of galvanised tubing joined together using the “Safeclamp” method of connection. The vertical leg has been specially designed so that the foot base can be raised or lowered allowing the system to be levelled during installation. This sliding base design also means that future re-roofing work can be easily undertaken without the need to dismantle the system. Fluted rubber matting has been bonded to the underside of all components which come into contact with the roof membrane to prevent any damage to the membrane. This also has the additional benefit of adding to the frictional resistance of the system to prevent any movement.
