New Work at Height Training for Solar Installers

Safesite has introduced a new Work at Height for Solar Installers course at its Crawley training centre in order to help companies take advantage of the increased demand for renewable energy.

Anyone planning to train to become a solar installer through recognised courses such as the NICEIC Solar PV, or seeking Microgeneration Certificate Scheme (MCS) Approval needs to show that they also have a work at height qualification.  Without this they will not be able to attend an accredited course or register with the MCS and benefit from initiatives such as FITs.

Safesite's new Crawley training centre has been designed specifically to provide training for this expanding sector and includes the popular Work at Height for Solar Installers course.  This specialist course provides delegates with an overview of best practice when working on roofs and installing solar systems, and includes equipment selection, PPE inspection/usage and carrying out basic risk assessments.  The centre also features a low level roof structure which allows delegates to gain practical training at height.

On completion of the course, delegates are provided with a certificate to prove that they have received sufficient work at height training for solar system installation.

Full course details can be found under the Training section of the website
