Safesite has installed a comprehensive roof safety system for Royal Holloway, University of London in Egham in order to allow safe maintenance of plant and machinery situated on the College's Physics building.
The Physics Department's buildings comprise 4 linked roof areas and a lower workshop roof, all of which required a safe means of access for maintenance of plant and equipment such as air conditioning units, aerials and lightning conductors.
Following a survey and assessment of the roof areas by Safesite, System 2000 freestanding guardrail was recommended to provide edge protection on the roofs themselves as well as to protect fragile roof lights which are situated along the roofs.
