Working at Height Training 2 Day Course
Overview
Work at Height can expose workers to particularly severe risks to their health & safety and continues to be a major cause of death and serious injury. Employers and duty holders have a duty to protect anyone who might be exposed to these risks by ensuring that any form of work at height is planned, supervised and carried out safely.

This specialist course cover all aspects relating to working at height and is designed to provide delegates with a thorough understanding of working at height including legislation, safety requirements and working methods.

MANAGING HEIGHT SAFELY: MODULE 1 (One Day)
- Bad Practice
- Effects and consequences of work at height accidents
- Falls from height statistics
- Hierarchy of protection
- Introduction to fall protection
- Work at Height Regulations 2005
- Other legislation and British Standards relevant to working at height
- Work at height risk assessments and method statements
- Surveys and permits-to-work
- Overview of work at height training and rescue
MANAGING HEIGHT SAFELY: MODULE 2 (One Day)
- Selecting fall protection systems
- Identifying collective and personal measures
- Selecting fall restraint and fall arrest systems
- Hierarchy of protective measures
- Fall classification and height considerations
- Typical fall arrest and fall restraint solutions
- Overview of PPE and practical PPE inspections
- Selection of equipment including scaffolds, ladders, stepladders and demarcation
- Work on or near fragile, asbestos, flat and modern cladded roofs
- HSE considerations
Note: Those attending Module 2 must have completed Module 1.
Course duration and price
Safesite's RIBA CPD Accredited Working at Height Course is a two day course.
Price for both modules run concurrently
£260 per delegate for courses held at Safesite Crawley.
Training courses can also be held at your own premises. Prices are based on location and start at £1750 for up to 10 delegates.
Price for each module not run concurrently:
£195 per delegate for courses held at Safesite Crawley.
