Fire Risk Assessment Training

Fire Risk Assessment Training

Overview
The Regulatory Reform (Fire safety) Order came into force on the 1st October 2006. One essential requirement of the order is that employers make an assessment of the fire risks that exist in their premises and produce and implement measures to control the risks.
Who will benefit?
This course is aimed at those who have some background knowledge of the key elements of fire safety, but limited experience in the practical process of completing fire risk assessments for simple premises. The training will benefit managers and others who are responsible for conducting, reviewing and implementing fire risk assessments for offices, small retail and similar premises.
Learning outcomes
Safesite's Fire Safety Risk Assessment course provides a comprehensive look at the concept of Fire Risk Assessment, and focuses on those preventive and protective fire safety measures that will help to effectively reduce the level of fire risk.

The course material and handouts are used with reference to current legislation and "best practice" guidance.

Course content includes:
  • Knowledge of current fire related and health and safety legislation
  • Identification of principal workplace fire safety hazards
  • Develop knowledge of the theory of fire risk assessment
  • Develop practical application of the fire risk assessment
  • Raise awareness of the process and procedures involved in the appraisal of the adequacy of existing fire precautions
  • Fire risk assessment practical exercises

This course is very much a "hands on" course allowing all delegates the opportunity to develop their skills in a variety of real time scenarios.

The standard course can be tailored to meet client specific requirements.

Safesite's Fire Risk Assessment Course is a two day course. The next course is running on the 22nd and 23rd July.
